Chicken Parmesan Sliders
Chicken Parmesan Sliders are perfectly sized sandwiches are just right for the kids! Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches are a great meal on a busy weeknight and delicious for the entire family.
Ingredients
- 12 dinner rolls (Any kind you like!)
- 6-8 frozen chicken strips (I like the Tyson brand)
- 1 c. mozzarella cheese, grated (or 12 slices)
- 1 c. marinara sauce (We love Rao's Homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400° F to bake the chicken strips (temperature may be different for the brand of chicken strips you are using).
- Place frozen chicken strips on a cookie sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°. Remove from oven and set aside.
- Cut each dinner roll in half to make a top and bottom. Place both ends on a cookie sheet so the inside of the roll is facing up.
- Cut chicken strips in half, or whatever size you would like, and place on the bottom half of each roll. Sprinkle the tops of each chicken piece with mozzarella cheese.
- Set the oven to high broil and place the cookie sheet back in to melt the cheese and crisp up the rolls. This should only take about a minute.
- Carefully remove cookie sheet from the oven. Spoon a spoonful of marinara sauce over the cheese and top with the other side of the roll. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Air frying is a great method for cooking the chicken if you don't want to bake it! To do this, place chicken strips in a single layer and heat at 360° for 11-12 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160° F.
