I have been thinking a lot about our family garden this week. Every year we sit down with our kids and decide what things we want to plant. I love to look at Pinterest and magazines to get ideas. This year I found a really fun planting guide that shows me what type of vegetables grow well together. Last year we grew 3 different types of lettuce. We enjoyed fresh salads every day thanks to our garden. This year, I want to grow broccoli. One of my favorite summer salad recipe is Broccoli Cauliflower Salad.
We usually start planting our garden the first week in May. I live in Utah, and you never know when it will stop snowing. In order to plant broccoli, I have been doing some research to find out how long it will take for my plants to produce. Broccoli Cauliflower Salad is my go to recipe for family parties and barbecues. It is easy to put together and I usually have the ingredients on hand. That is my kind of salad.
