Pizza night just got even more fun! Garlic cheese bombs are the perfect side dish for pizza and pasta.
Here’s a tasty and super easy side dish for pizza night, spaghetti night, or pretty much every night! Garlic rolls are stuffed full of mozzarella cheese and baked to golden yumminess. **Make sure you don’t under bake these cheese bombs. A nice golden brown is what you want.**
Garlic Cheese Bombs
Servings: 24 rolls
Ingredients
- 24 frozen Rhodes dinner rolls
- 1 lb. mozzarella cheese brick
Garlic Butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese optional
Instructions
- Place 24 Rhodes frozen dinner rolls onto a cookie sheet or other clean surface. Cover with plastic wrap and let thaw for about 2 1/2 hours, or until soft and no longer frozen.
- Cut 24 cubes of mozzarella cheese. Cut them as small or large as you'd like, depending on cheesiness preference.
- Place butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Cover and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds, or until melted. Add garlic powder, dried parsley, and Parmesan cheese.
- Flatten each thawed roll and wrap completely around a cube of cheese so you can't see it. Stack the rolls in a greased bundt pan and brush with garlic butter. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Remove wrap and bake at 350°F for 35-40 minutes, or until dark golden brown. Cover with foil last 15 minutes of baking. Do not under bake or the rolls with be doughy.
- When it's time to serve, either invert the pan and slide the bombs out onto a plate, or pull them directly out of the pan individually without flipping. Serve with pizza sauce or marinara sauce.

Awesome! I hope you love them! Just make sure to bake them long enough. A nice golden brown color, even darker than what you see in my picture, is what you need. My were just a tad under done.

Is their a certain size bundt pan and does it absolutely have to be a bundt pan?
Alli says
I used a 9-inch bundt pan, but you can really use any size and just put however many rolls you can fit. I better other pans would work! I’ve baked rolls in a 9×13 pan before so they would probably just come out more like the shape of a dinner roll. Great questions!

The link that you have on here gives another garlic cheese bomb recipe with 8 rolls d cheese strings? How do I get 24 garlic cheese bomb recipe with full block of cheese?
Alli says
Hi Arlene. If you buy a small brick of mozzarella cheese you can cut it into 24 cubes. However, I’m not sure what the recipe is with 8 rolls and cheese strings that you’re referring to. The link in red on the word “here” will take you to the full cheese bombs recipe on the Rhodes Kids Blog. I hope that helps!

Made these with 1 difference. I roasted 8 unpeeled garlic cloves wrapped in foil, 1 hr at 350, till soft. Peeled and mashed into the melted butter. I also used smoked mozzarella cheese. Grateful for the recipe. Thank you!

Rhodes rolls are frozen dinner rolls that will be thawed in this case. You can definitely substitute for another dough!

Hi Ayesha! Yes, pizza dough would definitely work. Any bread dough would be fantastic!
