This recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake is just that! And you’re really going to love how easy it is to make. You don’t even have to measure the peanut butter. I know, right?

So lets get to this dessert. I made this with the intention of sharing with my kids, but instead I gave it a try and realized I just couldn’t do that. Ha! I put kids down for naps and quiet time, grabbed my dessert, and watched TV. It was bliss.
If you ever bake, it is likely you already have all the ingredients you need to make this yummy chocolate peanut butter cake. You’ll only need a little bit of each ingredient, too! And thanks to Windstone Farms Peanut Butter Packets, you don’t even have to measure out the peanut butter. You’ll need two packets for this recipe, one for the cake and one for the sauce.
How to Make the Cake
You’re going to love how easy this treat is to make! Simply combine the dry ingredients in a microwavable bowl, add the wet ingredients, add the peanut butter, and put in the microwave to bake. Don’t even stir in the peanut butter! Just squeeze it out from the packet and leave it just like it is.
From here you have two options: you can either invert the cake onto a plate (if this is what you want to do, make sure you grease your bowl first), or you can leave it in the bowl and add the peanut butter sauce right on top.
Make sure you eat this cake right away or heat it up if you’re eating it later! It’s the best when it’s hot.
The Best Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake for One
Equipment
- microwave
- small whisk
- ramekins
- measuring spoons
- coffee mug
- small microwavable bowl
Ingredients
For the Cake
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tbsp milk
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 packet Windstone Farms Peanut Butter
For the Peanut Butter Sauce
- 2 Tbsp corn syrup
- 1 packet Windstone Farms Peanut Butter
Instructions
If Inverting Dessert Onto a Plate
- Spray small microwavable bowl with baking spray; set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking soda. In another small bowl, whisk together egg, milk, and vegetable oil. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients then squeeze peanut butter out over the cake. No need to stir!
- Place in the microwave for one minute; carefully remove and allow to sit and slightly cool. Place a small plate over the cake and carefully invert to slide cake out onto the plate.
- Squeeze another packet of peanut butter into a small microwavable bowl and add karo syrup. Heat for 10-15 seconds, carefully remove from the microwave, and stir until smooth.
- Pour peanut butter sauce over cake and enjoy!
If Eating Out of the Bowl or Mug
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking soda in a microwavable bowl or coffee mug. Add egg, milk, and vegetable oil then squeeze peanut butter out over top. No need to stir!
- Place in the microwave for one minute; carefully remove. Make the peanut butter sauce by coming karo syrup and peanut butter in a small microwavable bowl. Heat for 10-15 seconds, carefully remove from the microwave, and stir until smooth.
- Pour peanut butter sauce over cake and enjoy!
