Throw the ultimate family game day party without the hassle! All you need are a few recipes, a game for the kids, and a couple other secret weapons.
As parents of four young boys, we tend to focus a lot of what we do around them. We love taking an event and making it kid-friendly and fun for everyone. Football season has been a fun one for us and my boys have loved rooting for their favorite teams. We recently had a family football party and they absolutely loved it. It was nice having a football party that wasn’t just geared toward adults! If you’re like us and want to have a football party with the kids, check out some of our must-haves for the ultimate family football party!
Even if it’s just you and the kids, having the house clean and smelling fresh is going to make it that much better! Walmart has everything you need to get the house all ready for the big party. Here are some of our must-haves:
Febreze ONE Fabric and Air Mist is pretty lovely for getting the house smelling nice and clean. With four young boys, we tend to have a lot of interesting smells hanging around! I love the bamboo smell of Febreze ONE and the clean feeling after I use it.
The floors. Oh, the floors! I have to follow my three-year-old around if I want to keep it clean all the time. Swiffer® Sweeper Dry + Wet is my ultimate favorite way to clean our hardwood floors. The 11-piece kit is everything I need to get our floors clean from sweeping to mopping.
Nothing beats Dawn Original for hand washing the dishes. We made a sticky treat for our party and there’s no way the pot and pans would have come clean in the dishwasher. I wanted to get the dishes done before our party and Dawn Original does the trick every time.
Bounty Select-A-Size Super Rolls Bounty Select-A-Size Super Rolls are the perfect way to keep things clean during the party! They tear so easily for the kids to help themselves, and they’re awesome at cleaning up all kinds of messes. And you know we have our fair share of messes! This is the only paper towel we buy and we love them.
Right now, if you’re an ibotta used, you can buy one select game day product and get $0.50 back. PLUS, you can earn an extra $1 back when you purchase and redeem 2 of these products at Walmart and use the ibotta app! Throwing a Football Party for the Family
Every party needs a good food table. My kids are young, but they love their food and they appreciate good stuff! We were able to keep it simple yet tasty for our party.
The kids munched on pretzels and popcorn, two of their all-time favorite snacks, an old appetizer favorite, and a sweet and salty treat I made just for the party. They loved the fun football containers!
Football Chex Treat has just the right colors and all kinds of sweet and salty goodness. The mix consists of a bunch of my kids’ favorite snacks and treats rolled into one. This recipe makes a nice big bowl so you’ll have a great amount for your party, and likely some left over to take you through the rest of the week!
Sweet and Sour Party Meatballs were stewing in the football crock pot for my kids to enjoy during our party. These meatballs are so easy to make and also easy to serve. Just pull out the toothpicks and you’re all set!
My five year old was all about loading up his own plate!
When you’re 7, 5, 3, and 3 months old, paying attention to a football game can get a little difficult. While the game was on TV, my two older kids played a really fun dice game and they absolutely loved it.
Football Candy Dice Game is really fun for the kids as well as the adults, but the kids were particularly excited about it! This game involves candy winnings and a lot of dice rolling – two things my kids are totally on board with.
Head over to Walmart to get everything you need to throw the perfect football party for your family. Have fun!
