Tender grilled chicken is sandwiched between two slices of ciabatta bread with crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, Sargento® provolone cheese, and a creamy honey mustard sauce. Perfect for any summer sandwich occasion!
Our family loves to eat outside all summer long. Whether we’re having a picnic in the park, a BBQ with friends, or just eating in the backyard on a blanket, there’s something extra fun about eating dinner outside. My kids especially love eating sandwiches, inside and outside! It’s their favorite thing to eat any time of the day. Sargento® Sliced Cheese makes any sandwich occasion so easy and can be used in a variety of sandwiches.
I went to Smith’s, my local Kroger family store, and purchased provolone slices for this sandwich and it was perfect. It tasted so good on this sandwich. Sargento® Sliced Cheese are made from real, natural cheese. It comes pre-sliced and ready to use, which makes it super easy to plan ahead for the meal and add to the chicken. One slice of provolone Sargento® Sliced Cheese is perfect for each piece of chicken.
This is a great sandwich for entertaining. Each guest can build their own sandwich by spreading on that sweet and tangy honey mustard sauce then stacking it high with grilled chicken, melted provolone, bacon, and tomato slices. These flavors and textures are so yummy together! This is a great sandwich recipe for families.
Grilled Chicken Bacon Sandwich with Honey Mustard Sauce
makes 4 sandwiches
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. mayo
- 1 Tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 4 ciabatta rolls
- 4 (6-8oz) chicken breasts
- 4 provolone Sargento® Sliced Cheese
- 8 slices bacon
- 8 slices tomato
Prepare honey mustard sauce by combining mayo, dijon mustard, yellow mustard, and honey in a small bowl; set aside. Cook the bacon, pat dry, and set aside.
Grill chicken breasts 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Place one slice provolone Sargento® Sliced Cheese on each chicken breast and allow to melt before removing chicken from the grill.
Slice ciabatta rolls in two and spread bottom slices with honey mustard sauce. Top each sandwich with chicken breast, 2 bacon slices, and 2 tomato slices then cover with top of the roll. Serve and enjoy!
